                  Jim McCoy

Visitors:
Thank you to all the spotters who came out today and assisted with the
count.

Weather:
Today was a mixture of sun and cloud becoming completely overcast in the
early afternoon. Winds were light from the Northwest before swinging to
the Southwest as the cloud cover became complete. Temperatures were mild
with falling temperatures in the early afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
There was a steady raptor and Turkey Vulture migration all morning with a
good variety of species. The migration was high causing spotting and
identification to be quite a challenge.

Non-raptor Observations:
Flocks of American Crows and blackbird species flew through the area in the
morning when the conditions were more favourable.
Thank you to Carl Pascoe who shared some of the banded paserines from the
banding station which included a Solitary Vireo, Hermit Thrush, Blue Jay,
Brown Creeper, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Golden-crowned Kinglet,
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler and Fox Sparrow.
