Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 14:30:00
Total observation time: 5.5 hours

Official Counter: Mike Fitzpatrick

Observers: Claude Radley, Janina Radley, Jim McCoy, none

Visitors:
none, save for a few dogwalkers, and 2 "too-cool" guys without hats and no
jackets who lasted less than 10 seconds on the tower!

Weather:
very brisk WNW wind kept us chilled most of the day--sun rarely made an
appearance, as there were heavy clouds all day.

Raptor Observations:
2 adult bald eagles, presumably the locals, were observed this morning
carrying fairly good-sized sticks--pair bonding?

sharpies were continuous until 2pm, appearing in "clumps" of 4-7 birds.

first RL of the year

Non-raptor Observations:
what were the chimney swifts and tree swallows finding to eat? "get me
outta here!"

for those who care, there were many crows

Predictions:
tomorrow should be "gangbusters", based upon today's results at Hawk Cliff,
HBMO, and SMRR. NW winds and warmer temps should make for a great day, so
get out and help Betty set a record!
