There is now a second active Red-necked Grebe nest in Bronte Harbour. The
new one had one egg as of June 16 and the nest was active this morning, June
19. This nest is very close to shore just west of the picnic dock which is
east of the Lighthouse Restaurant and provide an excellent photo opportunity
for those who do not have a really big lens. The other nest still has 1
hatchling and 7 eggs.
Directions: Exit the QEW and go to the lake, turn left and park on the other
side of the Lighthouse Restaurant.
