My job brought me unexpectedly to Whitby this afternoon, so I headed down to Halls Road. At 1:40 pm, a beautiful barred owl was totally in the open on Halls Road directly beside the road and appeared undisturbed by myself and a photographer. To the west, on Lakeridge Road, was a great gray owl. Great viewing at such a late hour, but it was overcast and the road very quiet as it was snowing.
