The Harris' Sparrow was still present today in Orillia. The property
owner prefers birders to stand by the row of spruce trees on the south
side of the property for a view of his feeder in the back yard. 9am-11am
is best. I located the Harris' 3 times between 9:00 and 9:45, but it
never came to the feeder; rather preferring to forage under spruce trees
where there was no snow. The "Pink-sided" Junco was also present.

Take Hwy 12 west from #11 to Fairgrounds Rd. Turn right (north) and
continue past the fairgrounds to #4393.

At Big Cedar Estates there were 17 Bohemian Waxwings and a large flock
of Redpolls. From Fairgrounds Rd cross #12 and continue on Harvie
Settlement Rd to Bass Lake Rd. Turn right and continue to Big Cedar
Estates (private road- please do not leave parked vehicles)

I also went to Muley Pt Rd were I found many Gt Gray Owls (also on the
concession roads), and Snow Buntings. Also, a Northern Shrike was on the
7th concession east of Muley Point Rd at a big curve in the road.

Muley Point Rd requires returning back to #11 and going south to #12
South which is a different interchange than #12 West. Continue through
Orillia and Atherley and Uptergrove. Muley Pt Rd is on the right just
past this last village.
