This afternoon Gerard McNaughton and myself took a short trip to MacGregor
Point Provincial Park. Amongst the birds visiting the feeders at the
visitors centre was a beautiful male Pine Grosbeak, and 50 plus Common
Redpolls. Sadly we were unable to make a Hoary out of any. At least one
Redpoll had been banded as it's leg band was clearly visible. The usual
suspects were also at the feeders.
Also seen was a 1st year female Snowy Owl along Regional Rd 11 between the
town of Paisley and North Bruce. The bird perched on top of a hydro pole
allowed for several photos.

MacGregor Point is located just off highway 21, south of Port Elgin .
