This morning numerous birders were rewarded with lengthy and excellent
views of the Rosy-Finch. It was first seen about 8:15 and subsquently at
10:40. A Northern Shrike stood guard most of the time in between, even
after making dinner of a Chickadee. One Redpoll I saw may have been a
Hoary, but I would have preferred to have seen the rump and undertail
coverts before saying definitely so. Keep an eye out for that one. Luc
Fazio reported a Bald Eagle being mobbed by Ravens in the field across
the street.
Well worth the drive to Chelmsford for #350 on my Ont list.
