Two Purple Sandpipers are running around on the mud at the southwest corner
of Cobourg harbour today, December 7th, a little easier to see than the lone
bird on the rocks a few days ago. Still best to walk out on the west
headland and view from there. The first bird stayed only one day, hope these
stay longer.
Passerines on the west headland yesterday included a Song Sparrow and a very
late Yellow-rumped Warbler.

The Great Gray Owl at the western edge of Port Hope was in fact seen briefly
a second time by the homeowners at 5766 Lakeshore Road on November 30th (its
first appearance there was on November 26th) but no one has seen it since.

Directions:
>From Hwy. 401, exit at Division Street, Exit 474, and proceed south on
Division to the harbour. Drive westward along the north edge of the harbour
to the large parking lot on the west side and walk out to the end of the
west headland.
