Prior to the onset of freezing rains "our" GOLDIE was seen briefly around 0830 on the NORTH path just inside the entry from Hall's Rd. I assume this bird and the White-throateds are staying low in shrubbery when not out on the path feeding.
Other birds --10 Robins, adult N.Shrike, 2 Rough-legged Hawks, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 1 Cooper's Hawk, many Tree Sparrows, 1 Song Sp., several House Finches, a few Red-winged Blackbirds, 5 male and 3 female N.Cardinals. 3 Greater White-fronted Geese had been seen in mid-AM in Whitby Harbour, along with a few Cackling Geese, to the west of the Brock St.S. bridge. >From the west exit 401 at Salem Rd. (in Ajax), south to Bayly, east through LakeRidge Rd. to the first strret east (Hall's Rd.), south to the FIRST ROADSIDE PARKING AREA. From the east exit 401 at Brock St. (in Whitby), south to Victoria (straight on through for the bridge), west on Victoria over to Hall's Rd. Doug Lockrey, Whitby
