Hi Folks;

Long time listener, first time caller.

I observed my second Great Gray Owl within the past 14 days along Highway
60. Yesterday's (Dec 6 at 9:45 a.m.) was seen 1/2 km west of the Killaloe
police
station at the junction of Lisk Road with Hwy 60. The owl flew off over the
old
railroad bed towards Old Trestle Road so a drive down this 3 km sanded
country
road and connecting back roads may be worthwhile also. The habitat is good
so
it may stick around though it was not seen this morning.

The first Great Gray I saw was on the western blue Barry's Bay town sign as
reported to Ontbirds by Ron Tozer on Nov 24. Thanks Ron.

>>The Killaloe Police Station is located on Highway 60, about 170 kms west
of Ottawa or 70 kms east of the East Gate of Algonquin Park. Old Trestle
Road can be entered at the Station. Behave!<<
