Sorry about this odd request. I possibly will not get down to Hall's Rd. on Tuesday morning. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO DOES GO TO PAY HOMAGE TO GOLDIE WILL SEND AN ONTBIRDS MESSAGE OR PHONE ME (905-666-3897) -if only to keep the string in tact--ie. -32 days.
This Monday afternoon I took up a lonely vigil (all the while my car battery went dead!!--lights on, engine off!!!) -- with the snow it appears that tamping down in the feeding area below the platform feeder just inside the entry to the NORTH pathway is welcomed by our avian friends-- every 30 minutes 3 White-throateds and Goldie came out to feed amongst many Trees, Juncos and House Finches and 6 Cardinals, even when a Shrike, a Red-tailed Hawk and the Cooper's were overhead. Hall's Rd. is in the southwest corner of Whitby, near the lakefront. Doug Lockrey, Whitby
