Viewed from my windows in the past 3 days, in addition to regular visitors
which include Hairy and Red-bellied Woodpecker, were Eastern Bluebird (3),
Pine Siskin (20 - they have stayed), Northern Shrike (1) and Sharp-shinned
Hawk (1). This morning's snow squall resulted in appearances by Cedar
Waxwing (1) and Wild Turkey (20 young ones) and big increases in numbers of
House Finch (from 8 to 50) and Dark-eyed Junco (from 5 to 25).

Conspicuously absent this year is the Mourning Dove. I have none and last
year had very few. Before that I often had as many as 60 or 80 at once. If
anyone else is experiencing a similar reduction, please let me know
privately (see end for contact info).

Not much work getting done here this morning! I might miss something if I
leave the window.
