pre-count snow flurries followed by sunny skies with 
medium NW winds, then clouding over, then "sunning" up; 2C; TUV=400
ft./min. (encouraging); rising BP 

Observations:
the 1991 Rough-legged total count of 222 was eclipsed with 30 of this
species coming through, making a total of 247 to date; 61 Red-tailed; 2
N.Harrier, 2 Sharp-shinned, 5 Cooper's, 1 MERLIN, 1 Kestrel and 1 UB 

Nov.7's GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW makes regular appearances (every 10-12 min.)
to feed on the pathway just short of our platform; N.Shrike harassing 3
Blue Jays; many Pine Siskins, E.Bluebird (singing); a few Cedar Waxwings,
4 Fox Sparrows; Catbird

2 BARRED OWLS in the wooded area along the north pathway
