Thanks to all who helped count again today including Barry Cherriere and to his wife Linda for helping Tom man the booth. :) Weather: Another sunny day with NO CLOUDS...moderate NE winds eventually switched around to SE with temps reaching a high of just 20. TUV=4 (Good) Observations: Another significant movement of Broadwings again today with 2270 counted. Once again with no clouds and good thermal lift the birds were up, up and away outta sight in our area but must have started to drop back down into viewable range by the time they passed by Erie Metro Park Hawkwatch (south of Detroit) where they had another 40,000+ Broadwings counted today! A bird of note past the Hawk Cliff today was a Dark Morph Broadwing that made an appearance just as the first live bird demonstration was getting underway. Some really nice Ospreys and Bald Eagles at the cliff...and another successful Hawk Cliff weekend. :) Predictions: The next few days the winds are not promising...any flights will likely be spread out between the cliff and at least St. Thomas or even further inland. May get some falcons at the cliff if the winds gets to SW. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch: Oldest Hawkwatch in Ontario - since 1931 - located just east of Port Stanley on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie
