Jim Crozier, Olga Klekner, Rene Keibossa, Sylvia Telasco
Visitors:
A number of visitors from Indiana, MIchigan, Ohio and Essex County were on
the tower before the noonhour.
Weather:
Winds today were light and variable from the South, Southeast and Southwest
under clear skies with temperatures reaching 28 degrees in the early
afternoon.
Observations:
Raptor migration was light today as winds were unfavourable. In fact, at
least eight Sharp-shinned Hawks that had flown by the tower retreated back
past the tower.
Four Red-headed Woodpeckers were seen flying over the tower today at 7:12
a.m., 8:37 a.m., 9:51 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. A Least Bittern was in view for
a part of the morning in Big Creek Marsh north of the hawk tower.
