The early morning hours at Thickson's was excellent for birders in
Thickson's Woods, Whitby on Thursday, Apr.29. Numbers dwindled around 10AM,
picking up again in mid-afternoon.
Highlights were Lincoln's Sparrow, Wood Thrush, Veery, White-crowned
Sparrow, Baltimore Oriole, Northern Waterthrush, Ovenbird, many Hermit
Thrush, Great-crested Flycatcher, House Wren, Winter Wren, Eastern Towhee,
Brown Thrasher, Brown Creeper, Nashville Warbler, Black-&-white Warbler,
Pine Warbler, Palm Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, a Yellow Warbler,
Common Yellowthroat (in the north of the north meadow), Red-eyed Vireo and
Purple Finch(2 prs.).

Exit the 401 at Thickson Rd., south toward the lake, turning left just
before the wooded area on your left.
