With no bird on the nest, I have just captured a web cam photo (6:21PM)
that definitely shows two eggs in the nest box.

At lunchtime today , (12.30), a friend and I were surprised to see a =
Great Egret hunched on the east side of Fingal Wildlife pond, in Elgin =
Co. Dave Martin is checking the Elgin records to see if this is the =
earliest record.
>From 401 take Shedden exit south , and continue to Fingal. Turn west, =
passing main entrance to Wildlife area, then take first left ( Scotch =
line), to a parking lot on left from which you can see a blind. This is =
at the pond. Walk quietly over.

Hi Fellow Birders,
I sighted the f. RED BELLIED WOODPECKER again this morning. And I had the
privilege of sighting a PILEATED WOODPECKER in Northern Ontario off the
Trans Canada by Sault Saint Marie this past week. And in Minnesota between
La Crosse and Red Wing I sighted at least 250 BALD EAGLES along the
Mississippi River south of the ice line in our travels.
Directions: Exit # 440 off Highway # 401 on Mill St. S. And on our trip
through Northern Ontario across Michigan, Wisconsin and south through
Minnesota.
