Today, Ken Kingdon, Maureen Riggs, Albert Boisvert and I birded Amherst
Island. Highlights include 1 SHORT-EARED OWL and 1 SNOWY OWL by the east
end KFN property and 1 BALD EAGLE and 1 MUTE SWAN along the western part of
South Shore Road towards the Fishing Village. We did not visit the Owl
Woods. Raptor numbers were low over the entire island.
By the way, on my report from Sunday, the mammal we missed seeing at
Algonquin Park was a PINE MARTEN.

Good Birding

The East End K.F.N. property is at the easternmost part of the island.
The Fishing Village (Emeric Point) is at the south-west tip of the island.
