This morning there were 39 Red Knots on the east end of the rocky shoal island west of Featherstone Pt. From # 3 take the Kohler Rd. (2nd road west of Cayuga) south to the Lake Shore Rd. and go west past Featherstone Pt. to the large bay. The island is off shore a couple of 100 yards. Depending upon wind direction surface water can cover most of this island. Also noted along the lake were some Dunlin, Semipalmated Sandpipers, good numbers of Bonaparte's Gulls, Caspian Terns and a few Common Terns as well as more common species.
