The spring migration really got underway at Selkirk P. P. on Saturday with flocks of Redwinged Blackbirds going north east all morning with a few Common Grackles. American Robins and Killdeers also were observed going over in good numbers. Going west along the Lake Erie shoreline were flocks of Tundra Swans. An influx of Song Sparrows appeared in the Spring Creek marsh with 8 banded. Sunday was a repeat of Saturday but Common Grackles were coming through in good numbers. A pair of Wood Ducks were observed flying up Spring Creek which is just starting to open. An Eastern Phoebe was seen flying north early in the afternoon. The Tufted Titmouse reported earlier seems to have been successful with it's courtship calls as a second one has appeared.
