The first red-winged blackbirds of the season were calling in Gilford this afternoon. Gilford is approx. 15km north of Bradford, on Cook's Bay of Lake Simcoe. Also thought I heard a killdeer overhead, and, judging by some of the other postings I have seen today, perhaps I wasn't hearing things after all! Spring is here!!!
