As far as I can tell, only flowDensity has not updated to the archiving of R-spatial infrastructure packages, specifically rgeos, 2023-10-16 and notified here, (see https://r-spatial.github.io/evolution/) and directly to package maintainers in good time (June 2023). Please ensure that rgeos, rgdal, and maptools are removed from Bioconductor check servers for >= 3.18 as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, flowDensity has strong reverse dependencies, leading to further problems upgrading to 3.18 on platforms without the archived packages on the library path. The maintainer email bounces, but mehrmalek at gmail.com may be an alternative.
