I agree that rational arguments aren't going to work with Thuy's supporters. However, they can work for everyone else. Thuy ran unopposed in 2009. Her lack of opposition seemed to be based on the perception that she was unbeatable. But in 2007 she won by a margin of only 12 votes. Thuy is very beatable, but in order to convince a potential opposing candidate that Thuy is vulnerable, people have got to start spreading the word about her lack of effectiveness.
