That's about flaming people for not doing their own research. That's not the case here. This is not about being a beginner at Perl. This is about being a sane person *on the net*. I want to make it clear that posting pointless disclaimer messages here *or anywhere* is unwelcome. I did it in-band to generate precisely the awareness that it has now raised. Had I raised the issue privately, we wouldn't have this archived response now, making it clear that this behavior is disruptive to at *least* this list. I have no love for lawyers in general, nor in the kind that require these pointless disclaimers, nor in people who, being bound by rules from idiot companies who require such disclaimers then continue to post to mailing list that I read. Get a free email account somewhere, or use web mail, or use perlmonks instead of this list. No excuses. And I'm apparently not alone on taking this position. I helped build this internet.
