Not to get too far off on a tangent, but I think the '1000\'s of users' he
was referring to were the mailing list users.  In any case, the point
remains the same.  Why bother proclaiming your dislike of a language on a
list full of thousands of people using the language is not likely to
accomplish anything more than another 'is not! is too!' kind of shouting
match that noone really wants (but noone wants to lose).

On the other hand, Rob, if you have a specific problem that you are having
creating a complicated data structure in Perl, it would be a good topic for
a SEPARATE thread(this one should probably just die now, not with a bang but
with a whimper).  I would be interested in finding out what you had trouble
with before I end up running into the same thing.
