> 1-on Windows Platform ASP,COM(ATL Server and ISAPI) together are the best.
Hi Kiarash, I can't help but jump in here. I can't speak for anyone else, but the simple reason I despise ASP is because it is too Windoze-centric. Like it or not, not everyone is using a Wintel box. The first requirement for ANY HTML preprocessor is that it works equally well under any major OS. PHP succeeds in this, ASP fails miserably. I don't pretend to know more than I do, however, so if anyone can show me a Macintosh server than can run ASP (that is identical in every aspect to its Windoze counterpart), I might just change my mind. I (perhaps illogically) refuse to acknowledge any language that does not have near-identical implementations on every major platform (by "language" I mean CGI languages and hypertext preprocessors -- I wouldn't expect C code to be identical for all platforms). <disclaimer> In closing, however, I would like to say that the above was simply my personal opinion on a specific language. It is not meant to disrespect anyone who uses ASP, and I certainly respect everyone's choice of language, even if I do not personally agree with it. </disclaimer> -Michael Kelly Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The Web: http://www.jedimike.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
