Hello Bruno, thanks for the response.I found the part in the config but I was a little bit suprised about root as standard receiver. I mean bareos has it's own user and I would have expected that this user will be the standard receiver and I (personally) don't think it's a good idea to mix info mails from daemons into the root (system) messages.
Only a question of understanding:Why is a standard receiver configured if you can read all the mail via bconsole? If you want to receive the infos by mail you should follow the documentation. You have the messages now a local mailfile in /var/spool/mail /username and a second via console.

This is the bsr command line in BackupCatalog job. You can edit it and make it your own rule. The correct failure mails are addressed to the correct user. So I checked the changes on the system. A colleague created a alias for the root user to forward infos from some internal processes. I thinks this alias is the reason for the mails. My questions (if I'm right): - why sends bareos mails to the root account if I have a rule which says "mails only if error"? - how can I avoid this? - if I do not forward the root mails (no alias) you have to manually look into the system every day and you can not distribute the mails easy to selected users.
