I have an idea but it would be nice if someone send me in the right direction:

If i look into the unwanted mails i can see root as mail receiver.
The correct failure mails are addressed to the correct user.

So I checked the changes on the system.
A colleague created a alias for the root user to forward infos from some internal processes.

I thinks this alias is the reason for the mails.

My questions (if I'm right):

- why sends bareos mails to the root account if I have a rule which says "mails only if error"?
- how can I avoid this?
- if I do not forward the root mails (no alias) you have to manually look into the system every day and you can not distribute the mails easy to selected users.
