I don't believe that this is a mysql/mariadb issue as they are basically interchangeable. Rather, it appears that one or more of the scripts for setting up the bacula db and tables for isn't getting run [successfully]. Could you provide a list of the files in your /usr/libexec/bacula/ directory?
