Hi,

just tried to install bacula-fd on a Windows 10 client with local administrator
via Teamviewer (not RDP), but ran into the same error.
any other hints for this issue?

best regards

service

Hello,

Note, Microsoft, for security reasons, does not allow SYSTEM services to
interact with the desktop, so Bacula can nolonger (since Windows XP)
support any such feature. Non-administrators are not allowed (Microsoft
restriction) to start or stop Bacula.

Also, please note that installing Bacula via RDP always seems to create
problems -- probably because Microsoft restricts RDP permissions even as
administrator, so to install Bacula, you must be running directly on the
machine as administrator.

Best regards,
Kern
