You see? That's what I call broken ;-). Your definition may vary of course. 
Documentation states however that setting different MediaTypes should do the 
trick in this case. I guess I will have to try...

I may as well simply define two different Autochanger devices with one drive 
per each and keep their tape pools completely separate. This makes sense 
since new drive is supposed to be reserved for a separate set of clients 
anyway.

Will gladly share my experience. Now all I need is to secure some funds for 
this upgrade ;-).
