Broken... no. Imperfect - yes :-) Actually, as of 1.38, multiple autochangers *mostly* worked correctly. Since 2.2, most problems that can happen should be fixed. > is it up to production level now? I think so. But note that having different drive types in one autochanger can limit you a bit. Bacula has no simple way to ensure that - in your case - AIT-3 drives are not used for AIT-5 tapes. This can be achieved by setting different Media Types, obviously, but I don't think the multiple-drive support is tested with such a setup yet. As I haven't access to such a system, I never tried what happened, but I'm more or less sure you will encounter some problems. As far as I can tell, it would be best to ensure that your pools only contain media of one type. Apart from that, I don't see any reasons why I, personally, wouldn't give it a try. Even if at first things don't work perfectly, I'd expect them to work smooth enough, and I'm sure Kern will try to work on any remaining issues as such a setup fits well to his ideas of "going enterprise" :-) Arno > Thanks, > Ivan > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges.
