Hello, can anyboby please confirm / correcxt the folloing assumptions:
Szenario: Version: 1.38.11 (28 June 2006), FD running on a x86_64 system (and compiled for 64 bit) DIR running on a 386 system (32 bit) Tested: Backup and restore on the x86_64 work fine Now, after a hardware crash, I tried to restore a backup written by the 64 bit FD on a 32 bit system. This resulted in serious chaos: - lots of error messages like these: sisyphus-fd: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 94600 2006-12-29 10:57:49 /restore/FULL/boot/memtest86+-1.65 30-May 12:13 sisyphus-fd: Restore.2007-05-30_12.12.53 Error: attribs.c:337 File size of restored file /restore/FULL/boot/memtest86+-1.65 not correct. I've seen comments ("The database Id records should be 32/64 bit independent now.") about new features in 1.40.0, so can I assume that this problem has been fixed for the 2.x releases?
