It will, assuming the drive is empty AND there is nothing actively attempting to using the drive (That's not a safe bet if there are lots of simultaneous backups happening.) This behaviour is corrected in late 1.39 betas.. Don't forget the "mount" command to tell bacula the drive is usable again.
