Looking for a way to limit the FD view for restores to exclude all other client records but those related specifically to that FD.

I'm not sure I correctly understand what you want... I assume you want to configure the FD in a way that it won't write files riginally stored from another FD, right?

Seems to me the mechanism would be an SQL query, but unable to find any documentation on how to invoke a client specific query. Couple that with my complete noobness as it relates to MySQL and we've got trouble in River City.

As far as I know - no way.

The DIR decides what it restored to where. The SD delivers a number of streams, basically consisting of file name and data to the FD. IF there also is the original client name included, you shold find that information in the programmers manual. Accessing he catalog from from the FD is not possible, you'd have to set up its own database connection.

Anyone already done figured this one out and would be willing to show the way?

Perhaps, if you told us why you want such a feature, someone knows anoher solution.
