No, you have that completely backwards.

"Maximum Volume Jobs" does not mean how many tapes can be used for a
Job.  "Maximum Volume Jobs" means how many JOBS can be written to a TAPE.

There are very few even remotely normal backup configurations in which
you will EVER need to use "Maximum Volume Jobs".

No.  If you set volume use duration = 14 days, each tape will remain
writeable for two weeks; you want it to remain writeable for one week.
In any case, though, Maximum Volume Jobs will override that; the tape
will be marked Used after one backup job.  Again, any configuration in
which you use both Volume Use Duration and Maximum Volume Jobs, *and
need both of those*, is so unlikely that it's almost certainly wrong.
