"why does the appmenu consist of words still?" Exactly! the app-menu imo is dead, free the top space to applications and be done with it. Let the apps build into it. Of course this presents a bit of a problem considering the odd shape of the top space... j.mp/9BWbAi
Single bar unity or waste more time. I only say this cus i lub u. Else make the systray (now official - everything top right) simply lay on top of whatever is under it. App still has a box frame. App designs around it, everything could use a redesign.
