i think we should not think of title bar or not-title bar, regarding the calc mockups, they show one beautiful homogenous alpha channel enabled visual app design, users would't draw that line either. it is rather the "calculator" as a visual object we should be thinking of (HIG Book: http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/principles-match.html.en) from here we can derive more actual interface usefulness, than from a discussion about the ancient menus once conceived for the first WMs ever distributed. i think david's calc mockups rock, i see my future desktop apps all sporting a seamless integration of WMs "decoration" into the actual design of the app. we don't need to see a frame IMO, the border should integrate fully with the client's body. If you now envisage any changes to the arrangement of the client's UI elements, it's more like tailoring a widget.. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ayatana Post to : ayatana@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ayatana More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
