kool. I copied bits from the ENhydra example so there may be bits that make 
no sense - feel free to point them out (specifically thinking about the 
timeout stuff around the initialization/start methods).

I was actually involved with a JSR that aimed to formalize the API for such a 
product. As a result I knew a whole bunch of people waiting for something 
like this. So I sent most of them to your site so you should have a few more 
users real soon now ;) I am also about to a few more feature requests to your 
board...
