It would be very nice indeed, there is a small grouping of
Tru64 Linux and FreeBSD on compaq hardware which compaq
will let anyone test out, which I've used myself to at
least avoid linuxisms, but the system spread is small enough,
methinks that OS manufacturers could do worse than to
follow that lead with their own systems.
