        But I use low level macros not because I want to, but because I *need*
to. Sounds like autoconf's most well known misfeature strikes back to me... As
an autoconf user, you known that you can write your own macros using m4. It is
then very unpleasant to discover that m4's behavior is silently modified.
That's why I'm saying that this should be documented.
