Hm, what scripts are you thinking about?  And are you sure their
authors will be happy to see their script still working, but doing
something different?

I understand your point, and I understand Ian's very well.  I'm
incompetent to judge so I won't, and will wait for the final word.
But I would be really happy if we could commit this monster and
proceed :)
