Please don't do something like this. For the typical user who's
installing a fairly small number of packages locally on their system, the
current default is exactly right, and those of us who use packaging
systems of various types already know what the standard behavior and
exactly what we have to override to get what we want. Any change of this
sort risks breaking things for not only the first but also the second camp
as the things to override end up changing.
