Well, the way I fix them is to copy the screenshot from the chapter,
paste it into Draw, add the text boxes etc there, group everything,
then export to PNG and replace the image in the chapter with the PNG
I just created. Using this technique, it's irrelevant what OS the
original screenshot was captured from.
There may be better ways to do this, but it works for me.
There is certainly a better way, and I use it. Not your fault Jean,
but Draw produces execrable output, with 'jaggies' everywhere. Any
half-way decent drawing package can do better including, in no
particular order, Paint Shop Pro, The GIMP, Xara Xtreme, Xara X,
Inkscape (possibly the best option, but imported bitmaps are
anti-aliased and thus blur) etc...
