Hi Janet,
Thanks for your mail, how do you add somebody to the "authors" group and
what should an author be able to do?
Many thanks
Best regards
Leo

Hi Leo,
The Dutch-named roles must have been created by somebody involved with
the Dutch site, because, as you found, they are not a standard part of
Plone.
One thing to realize about how the English site is managed (if you are
trying to do something similar), is that we don't really use "roles"
(in Plone terms). Instead we use "groups". So, to give someone
"author" permissions, we add them to the "authors" group (which has
"author" permissions). We sometimes talk about giving someone the
"author role", but technically, that's not correct.
I don't know if that helps, or just confuses.

Hello,
We are trying to manage the Dutch site but still we are a bit
confused as we get a mixture of Dutch and English roles. Can somebody
explain me which rights have the following roles:
Redacteur
Author
Beheerder
Manager
Eigenaar
Owner
The second is each time the translation of the one above, but it
seems that they have different rights.
GroupVisitor
GroupMember
GroupAdmin
GroupLeader
Or is there any
When looking at the Members page, I notice that for example 22
persons have the Beheerder role, but none have the Eigenaar role,
which is contrary to the fact that I am Eigenaar for several parts of
the site.
Could somebody enlighten me?
I have studied the Plone manual, but no reference is made to any
Dutch roles. I also looked at the plone configuration, but there is
no mention about the Dutch roles.
Many thanks for you help.
