The worst thing about mobile advertising is the category of apps called 
"Mobile consumables." These ads are the ones for ringtones, jokes, quizzes 
and the like that want to add a monthly charge to your phone bill. They 
usually do this by some sort of trickery or slight of hand. For some ad 
networks, these ads are 60% of the inventory. Users who sign up for these 
rip-offs are never pleased and a lot of them blame the app itself instead of 
the companies that are sticking them with $19.95 a month to get a joke 
SMS'ed to them every day.

Until the mobile advertising system recognizes that mobile consumables are 
destroying the market, they will continue to be an irritant and cause users 
to think of apps with ads as below par.
