I can definitely see that.  But what about the developers of legitimate
new apps?  Are we just as guilty?   Then again, guilt by association is
practiced by law enforcement (whether legally or illegally, I don't
know), so why not by google?

I agree, but until then, it's still OFO, OTL, or AWOL (take your pick)
for legitimate new apps, which lose all of the potential buyers who
looked for new apps in Just In, and not in adverts posted on web pages.
But, I get the distinct impression that I'm all alone in caring about
this, so....

But first, two final questions:

1) Why are updates considered NEW apps, anyways?  That makes exactly
   zero sense to me.  But then, I am still new here, so.....

2) And what is to stop the same developers from doing the same thing with
   the Top New [Paid/Free] sections now?  If their apps fit into the Top
   categories (i.e., the only ones listed now anyways), what's to stop
   them?
