I think we need to clearly distinguish between "Support provided by Google", 
and "Support provided by Dianne Hackborn". (And a few other notables, but 
especially you.)

There's no question that if you stopped posting, you'd have time to do other 
stuff to improve the platform.

But I really don't think there's anything you could code up that would 
contribute as much to the success of the Android platform, as what you do, 
posting here.

You can have great code, but if your developer community is not thriving and 
successful, it'll go to waste.

Technically, what you do here isn't support. But it fills the void, and in a 
much more cost-effective way.

It's education.

It's also an insider view, and inside access, and a communications channel.

But mostly, it's education, and the impact of your efforts go far beyond 
answers to individual developers questions. Support simply does not have the 
reach you do!

I hope your bosses appreciate that fact. I hope the people here on the forum 
do.

You do a great job.
