It's not just about me posting to this group. Google puts significant time and money in to creating, documenting, and supporting the Android SDK, in to maintaining and improving the developer tools, in to improving the platform in ways that developers request. All of this, including all of the generated source code, is given a way. All of it for free.
>From watching all of this for a few years now, I honestly believe that giving things away for free like this has a strange tendency to cause people to feel entitled about what they are getting and expect they should be getting unreasonably more than they are. I don't want to discount all of the time and effort that third party developers put in to the platform and how much it benefits the platform. I certainly appreciate this. The expectation coming back about what Google owes developers however often seems to be way over the the top, or at least very unappreciative of everything Google does do.
