Ok, good to know:-) Another shot in the dark - since about 2.6.9, i.e., with all my sound-recording attempts, I've been forcing "lapic" on the kernel command-line. And as a penalty was getting some "ERR:" counts in /proc/interrupts. Now with 2.6.15 I don't force lapic. Could that make a difference?
